  i couldn't help notice there was a newbie posting one of the other threads, and that he had the photo of "butters" from south park and the screen name "butters".

  i laughed out loud immediately.

  butters in south park definetly seems like the guilible type to have been a jw.

  hello all, hope you are well.. it is friday!

  my two friends (a couple who are living in sin, would you believe it?

  Life Is Grand

  I plan to do absolutely nothing. The last two weekends have been insane. Two weeks ago we had 50 people over for a bbq-my husbands 40th birthday celebration-then last weekend for Thanksgiving we had 21 people over. I don't know what I was thinking.

  I am looking forward to RELAXING!!!!

  What do YOU say to people in hopeless situations?

  sometimes you have a friend that falls on hard times.

  their health fails, they lose their jobs, they spend their last dollar -- whatever.

  they don't have anything good on the horizon.

  I always say that I am here if you need a shoulder to lean on, or if you need to talk about anything at all.

  I also tend to throw in "There is always a light at the end of the tunnel" as well-and I really mean it-no matter how tough things may look, you will eventually hit the bottom and start working your way back up again....it's inevitable.

  Lost a Good Friend Today

  the former owner of the newspaper i work for died today of cancer.

  he was a tall, handsome man just past 50, with a great smile and sense of humor.

  he hired me to work here four years ago, and we had a great time together.

  Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend.

  We always seem to spend our lives waiting for something bigger and better to come along, instead of just enjoying the wonderful things that we have today. Sometimes tomorrow never comes though...and we lose out on the chance to make the best of what we had.

  Life and death sometimes just don't seem fair.

  I met Roger Waters of Pink Floyd Sunday night!!!!!

  i have to share this with my old pals on jwd: me and my husband went to three roger waters concerts this fall: (detroit, chicago, los angeles.

  ) we went to the la concert sunday night.

  My husband and I went to see the Roger Waters concert in Toronto a few weeks back. It was by far one of the best concerts I have ever been too. He was AMAZING....you guys were so lucky!!!

  I saw a beautiful thing yesterday --- a gift from God

  yesterday i saw a couple i hadn't seen for many years sitting together on the bus.

  i'd always wondered if they had managed to stay together.

  they looked the same, save a few more dry wrinkles, as they did twenty years ago.

  Do you have any phobias?

  do you have any phobias jw related or not?

  i personally don't have much except having to go through very narrow spaces where i can barely fit in that freaks me out and i also fear very hot weather like over 38 degrees celsius as if it will give me a heat stroke.

  I absolutely cannot stand spiders either-any shape or size.

  Once when I was driving, one came dangling down it's web in front of my face from the roof of the car-I almost had an accident because I freaked out so bad----YUCK!
